Talk Therapy: Connecting Mindfulness and Imagination

Mindful exploration of unrestricted thoughts and feeling can lead to a deep and productive understanding of self.

The everyday challenges of living in an unpredictable and constantly changing world can lead us towards painful and self-destructive patterns that impact our ability to be our best selves. Perhaps you have experienced a traumatic event, need help managing confusing and confrontational relationships, are grieving a loss, have questions regarding your self-identity, or want to explore how you can show up more fully in your life. No matter your battle, talk therapy can be a brave first step toward healing.

The practice of mindfulness supports the ability to stay with complex feelings and teaches us to look deeper at ourselves and our environment. Inviting our imagination into this practice can profoundly affect traditional talk therapy by offering new and creative ways to understand and examine our choices. This blended awareness can deliver an unencumbered vision of healthy possibilities aiding in the development of invaluable coping skills.

Together we will embark on a journey that holds the sadness and joys of the human experience side by side to help form healthier and more positive stories for ourselves.

What to Expect

Talk therapy sessions are 55 minutes. Depending on the individual need, clients should expect to commit to an average of 6-12 sessions to accomplish their mental health goals. During this time you will be provided the space to check in with your feelings, thoughts, and experiences. How sessions run will be developed together depending on what it is you would like support with.
